Une table de mixage dont les 6 pistes sont boucl\u00e9es sur elles-m\u00eames via des r\u00e9sistances photo-sensible produit de brefs larsens d\u00e9clench\u00e9s par le faisceau de chaque projecteur. Au flicker lumineux r\u00e9pondent des impulsions plus ou moins aigues qui entrent en collision, se r\u00e9pondent et se m\u00e9langent au fur et \u00e0 mesure que la rythmique acc\u00e9l\u00e8re. Those sets are composed with a fondness for mechanics and sober system, desire of sensory immersion and playing with persistence of vision.<br id=\"yiv3444841123yui_3_16_0_1_1441221939803_14778\" class=\"yiv3444841123\"> We wish to find a form between installation and performance, turn the virtuoso artist-performer into the operator-technician paying attention to the mechanics, to convoke technical code of the cinema (countdown, film leader), to mix sound and image.<br id=\"yiv3444841123yui_3_16_0_1_1441221939803_14780\" class=\"yiv3444841123\"> We also wish to play in particular places and adapt our sets to different contexts.<br id=\"yiv3444841123yui_3_16_0_1_1441221939803_14782\" class=\"yiv3444841123\"> <br id=\"yiv3444841123yui_3_16_0_1_1441221939803_14784\" class=\"yiv3444841123\"> 24ips is our first mutual effort.<br id=\"yiv3444841123yui_3_16_0_1_1441221939803_14786\" class=\"yiv3444841123\"> Sound and visual elements are slowly evolving, in a flickering pace, into a more tangible and chaotic ensemble.<br id=\"yiv3444841123yui_3_16_0_1_1441221939803_14788\" class=\"yiv3444841123\"> Beginning as a simple mono-screening where countdowns of film leaders are following and stacking themselves, 18ips is becoming more and more complex and expanded in order to offer an experience of frenetic immersion.<br id=\"yiv3444841123yui_3_16_0_1_1441221939803_14790\" class=\"yiv3444841123\"> A single reel, going simultaneously through 6 projectors, is manipulated by the 4 operators who are trying, in a delicate way, to avoid the film split.<br id=\"yiv3444841123yui_3_16_0_1_1441221939803_14792\" class=\"yiv3444841123\"> 18 ips is a distant and modest echo to the interlocking projectors (technique used in multiplex theaters to trend simultaneously a single length of film through multiple projectors).<br>\nSounds are produced by the (mis)use of two audio recording tools. A mixing board where each of the 6 tracks are patched in feedback via a photoresistor, triggering a brief feedback noise each time it is hitted by the light beam. Like an echoe of the visual flicker, hight to extremely hight frequencies impulse collides and melt as the rythm go faster and faster.
